Clamping Force
Small die-casting machines: Clamping force less than 1000T (10KN=1T), mainly used in the 3C, motorcycle, and toy industries to produce small-sized parts.
Medium die-casting machines: Clamping force between 1000T-3000T, suitable for automotive structural parts (such as shock absorber towers and engine blocks) and general decorative parts.
Large transitional models: Clamping force 3000T-5000T, used for the production of integrated automotive bodies or chassis.
Hole Diameter and Depth
Minimum Hole Diameter: Limited by the core position, the diameter of fine core holes is ≤2mm, and the depth is ≤15mm.
Self-tapping screw pilot hole: M4 pilot hole diameter 4.2mm, M5 pilot hole diameter 5.2mm. Wall Thickness and Draft Angle
Distance from Cast Hole to Edge: b ≥ (1/4~1/3)t (t is the wall thickness). When t < 4.5, b ≥ 1.5mm.
Casting Draft Angle: The width b of rectangular holes and slots is the smaller end value. The draft angle needs to be coordinated with the core-pulling design.
Thread Parameters
External Thread: Minimum pitch 0.75mm, minimum thread outer diameter 6mm, length ≤ 8 times the pitch.
Internal Thread: A machining allowance of 0.2~0.3mm is required.
Shrinkage Rate
Reference values for linear shrinkage rate of aluminum alloy die castings: Free shrinkage 0.6%~0.8%, Restricted shrinkage 0.3%~0.6%.
